Victorian Premier's Awards
Applications for this year's Premier's Award should be Victorian PhD students
and recently completed PhD graduates

The Victorian Government and the Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR)
present the Premier's Award for Health & Medical Research each year during
ASMR Medical Research Week. The Award recognises achievement by Victoria's
early career health and medical researchers.

Past winners have demonstrated the depth of talent in Victoria’s health and
medical research community through work in a variety of fields including muscular
dystrophy, organ transplants, tuberculosis, diabetes, cancer research,
cochlear implants and genetic research.

The Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research provides $40,000 in prize money:
$16,000 for the winner
$8,000 each for three commended applicants
Applications are open from Monday 4 February until 2pm, Friday 15 March 2013.

The winner and commendees will be announced at a ceremony to be held during
ASMR Medical Research Week (1-8 June, 2013).
